Privacy Policy

 

1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for data processing within this web application is:

2. Purpose of Data Processing

This web application (Leadership Compass) is designed to conduct a Leadership Self-Assessment.

The personal data collected within the assessment is used solely to generate an individual results profile and to enable secure access to the tool.

No further use, analysis, or disclosure of the data to third parties takes place.

 

3. Data Collected

The following personal data is collected and processed during use:

  • Name – to create an individual profile,
  • Email address – to create a personal login,
  • Assessment responses – to automatically generate an individual result,
  • System-generated passcode – to authenticate access to the tool.

The processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract), as it is necessary to provide the functionality of the web application.

 

4. Access and Visibility

All data is stored securely in a protected backend system.

In theory, the operator has technical access to this data. Such access occurs only when necessary for troubleshooting, technical maintenance, or upon explicit request by the user.

The automatically generated passcode is visible to the operator in order to assist users in regaining access if needed.

 

5. Data Retention

All collected data — including name, email address, assessment responses, and login information — is stored for a maximum period of one (1) year from the date of completion of the assessment.

After this period:

  • The data will be automatically and permanently deleted,
  • Users will no longer be able to access their results page, and
  • The operator will no longer be able to retrieve or provide the assessment data.

 

6. Data Sharing

No personal data is shared with third parties.

If external service providers (e.g. hosting providers) are used to operate the application, they process the data solely on behalf of and according to the instructions of the controller (data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR).

 

7. Security

All data transmission is protected by SSL/TLS encryption.

Data is stored on servers that comply with applicable data protection and security standards within the European Union.

 

8. User Rights

Users have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Right of access to their personal data (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”, Art. 17 GDPR),
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of this web application (“the Tool”), which provides a Leadership Self-Assessment for registered users.

By creating an account or using the Tool, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Tool.

2. Purpose of the Tool

The Tool is designed to help users reflect on their leadership behaviors and development areas.

The results generated are for self-reflection purposes only and do not constitute psychological advice, certification, or a professional assessment.

3. Registration and Access

To use the Tool, you must provide your name and email address to create a personal login.

You will receive a system-generated passcode for access. You are responsible for keeping this passcode confidential.

You agree not to share your login credentials or allow others to access your account.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Tool only for its intended purpose and in compliance with applicable law.

You may not:

  • attempt to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or decompile the Tool or its content,
  • use the Tool in a way that may harm its functionality or security,
  • upload or input false or misleading information.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, algorithms, and materials in the Tool are the intellectual property of [Your Company Name] and are protected by copyright and other laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any part of the Tool for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

6. Data Protection

After one (1) year, all data and results will be automatically deleted, and you will no longer have access to your results page.

Use of the Tool and interpretation of the results are at your own responsibility and risk.

  • loss of data after the one-year retention period,
  • reliance on the results or recommendations generated by the Tool.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence under applicable law.

8. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or delete user accounts in cases of misuse or violation of these Terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict of law rules.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Berlin, Germany.
